cali brinner

det har nu brunnit i hela södra cali i två dagar och luften är riktigt tjock och äcklig. Det luktar brandrök ute och himmelen är svart. När jag gick hem från skolan idag kändes det som jag andades in bara aska och det är svårt att inte hosta. Våran skola har skrivit upp regler som de tycker att vi ska följa.

Potential Effects and Dangers from Winds and Smoke

Once again the Santa Ana winds have kicked up, and with them, fires all around Orange County and southern California. Smoke from the surrounding fires cause potential health risks, especially those suffering from asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions. The following are recommendations for CSUF students to lessen the irritations and negative health effects caused by smoke and winds:

-Stay indoors when possible.

-Keep windows and doors in your home and car closed.

-Use your air conditioner on re-circulate mode, if available, to limit the intake of outdoor air.
-Avoid any outdoor physical activity or sports until the air clears.
-Drink plenty of water; don’t wait until you are thirsty.
-Try taking over the counter allergy medicine for relief of sinus pain, sneezing, and other allergy symptoms.
-If you have asthma, keep your asthma medication with you at all times.
-Use a humidifier to help moisten the air in your home.
-Seek medical attention if you have symptoms of chest pain, chest tightening, shortness of breath, or severe fatigue.
-Check on those who are at highest risk, including seniors who live alone and people with heart and lung disease.

Melissas familj har fått evakuera och eliots båda hus ligger i det område som är värst drabbat. Det är så konstigt att tänka på det.

Sist vi kolla så va 0% av bränderna under kontroll och dom tror att det kan sprida sig till Fullerton. Det har pratats om evakuering, Vi har blivit tillsagda att inte gå ut och inte andas in den luft som nu sprids över södra cali.
